Transitioning out of foster care can feel overwhelming, especially without stable housing or a strong support system. At Faith of a Mustard Seed, we provide more than a place to stay. We offer a structured and encouraging environment where young adults can develop life skills, pursue their goals, and prepare for long-term independence.
Who We Serve
Our housing program is designed for young adults who:
Are between the ages of [18 and 24]
Are aging out of or have recently exited foster care
Are experiencing housing instability or homelessness
Are able to live independently with limited supervision
Are willing to follow program and house guidelines
Are working, attending school, enrolled in training, or developing an employment plan

Life Skills – Budgeting, household management, tenant responsibilities, and maintaining a home.
Landlord Readiness – Support with understanding leases, communicating with landlords, and maintaining good rental history.
Emergency Housing Referrals – Connecting young adults to emergency and transitional housing when needed.
Independent Living Support – Continued case management and goal-setting after securing housing.
Community Resources – Connections to food assistance, transportation, employment, education, healthcare, and other supportive services.

Faith of a Mustard Seed was created to address the housing and support gaps experienced by young adults transitioning out of foster care. Many young people leave foster care without stable housing, reliable transportation, employment, or consistent adult support.
Our goal is to provide a safe and structured living environment where residents can build confidence, develop practical skills, and move toward lasting independence.
